My name is Dave Gilbert, the founder of Performance Autowerks. I'd like to thank you for visiting our website.

We have been deeply involved with the automotive aftermarket in the Chicagoland area for 19 years. We have specialized in virtually every aspect of vehicle customizing including electrical system design and engineering, performance products design, manufacturing and installation as well as full out race car preparation.

Like you, I am also a passionate motoring enthusiast. My passion translates into a personal pride in every car that leaves the shop. We treat each car as if it is our own, fine tuning every detail until perfected. Over the years we have been successfully involved in motorsports including, SCCA Club racing, SCCA Solo autocrossing, NASA Pro Racing and SCCA Pro Rally including 2 national championship titles with Mitsubishi EVOs.

Our shop and customer vehicles have won many trophies and have been featured in the pages of magazines such as Sport Compact Car, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, Car Audio and Turbo and High Tech Performance.

40+ years experience mechanical design and engineering. Rapid prototype development expert. Experienced CAD designer. Racing enthusiast. Applys 40+ years of mechanical engineering experience to the Werks line of products and complex vehicle fabrication projects.

Jeremy Simkowski - Mechanical Engineer

In depth knowledge of protyping and design with Solidworks is allowing us to break new ground with many new product releases scheduled in the coming 2009-2010 seasons

John "Sharkey" Sharkey- Fabrication

The most recent addition to the Performance Autowerks team John adds years of forced induction fabrication experience to the manufacturing department. John recently graduated Wyotech at the top of his class and is proving his education was worth it on a daily basis!
